Richard Horace Knight, the younger of the 2 sons of Lloyd & Jean Knight was born in Glenboro, MB on December 5th, 1944. Raised on the farm there, Richard as a young man worked at Brown Steel Welding Shop in Brandon. Richard made his choice to serve God when he was yet a young boy and in 1967 responded to the call of God to go forth to share the Gospel story. In doing this he had 50 happy years of active service in the ministry. Failing health in recent years made it necessary that he remain in one place for longer periods of time and so he had weeks at a time with his dear friends in fellowship and then most recently enjoyed the care and hospitality of the “Warm ‘n’ Cozy Care Home” in Saskatoon. None the less Richard retained his love for the Word of God and for his call to the ministry. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Lloyd & Jean Knight and is survived by his one brother, Tom (and wife May) Knight of Brandon, MB; 3 nephews, Richard (& Carolee) Knight of Kitamat, BC and their children, Eldon, Keyara and Carlin; Wesley (& his wife Lorelyn) Knight of Brandon, MB & son Patrick; Jeffrey (& his wife Kendra) Knight of Medicine Hat & children Landon & Cambria; several cousins, his co-workers in the ministry, and many dear friends around the world. A Funeral Service for Richard will take place at 11:00 am Friday, December 10th, 2021 at Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Dr., Saskatoon, SK).
