ADAMOWSKI - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Adamowski at the Royal University Hospital on Friday morning April 25, 2025, at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife Margaret, younger sister Mary Ann, younger brother Leo (Gail) Adamowski, his daughter Jennifer Adamowski, sons: Nick (Karyne) Adamowski, and Doug (Liz) Adamowski, as well as grandchildren Makenna, Rhys, Jamie, Andrew, Jagger, Mathew (Delanie), Christian, Raveena, and great-grandchildren Elaira and Brantley, as well as other friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents Peter & Nettie Adamowski, and youngest brother Micheal. Nick was born on May 18, 1946 on the side of the highway in rural Saskatchewan while on the way to hospital. He grew up in Saskatoon, attending school at St Joseph’s and later St Paul’s High School for Boys. After school he started his career at Domtar, moved to Revelstoke Sand & Gravel in their crushing division, and in later years became a janitor. At the age of 18 he met Margaret and later at the age of 23 they married and soon after started a family. They shared two beautiful sons and one loving daughter. Nick was a loving father, brother, husband, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a stubborn, strong, and brave man who enjoyed getting away from the city to spend time out at the lake camping, listening to Elvis and country music, cars from the 60s and 70s and indulging in the odd A&W meal. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be on Saturday May 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at Windsor Chapel located at 704 Windsor Street, with a luncheon to follow. An interment service will be held for immediate family at St. Johns Columbarium following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are in the care of Morning Glory Funeral Home (306-978-5200).
