It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mark Pickard on April 21st, 2024. Mark was an extraordinarily kind and humble man who loved his family deeply. Mark was born to Virginia and Mervin Pickard and raised near Crane Valley, Saskatchewan. Mark was proud of his prairie roots. He enjoyed travel and adventure, with opportunities that took him around the world. Many times, his family would join him. Family vacations remain beloved memories. Mark loved camping in his VW van, touring around the province or heading out to the mountains. Some of his favourite times were spent sitting around the campfire, visiting with friends and family. He had so many long-time friends. In the summer, he could be found driving his 1955 Mercury truck, a third-generation family heirloom. His happy place was on the deck overlooking the river.
An innovative entrepreneur and leader, Mark founded and successfully ran InfraReady Products for 30 years. He cared profoundly for his InfraReady family. He also had the privilege of participating in various boards and committees. Mark believed in giving back to the community and mentored new entrepreneurs. Mark invested in people, a value that created lasting relationships.
Mark enjoyed many professional accomplishments, but his largest achievement was his devotion to his wife and children. Mark lives on through his wife Patricia Lewis and daughters Leticia and Courtney Pickard. He is lovingly remembered by brother Blaine (Moira) and nieces Hannah (Joseph), Tess (Archie) and Caitlyn, along with his Aunt Alice, sister-in-law Bernice Lewis (Wayne), niece Andrea (Ryan) and nephew Brendan (Jodi). Mark is also fondly remembered by his great niece and nephews: Dacey, Denley, Jaxon, Rio, Braiden, and Brody.
A man that embraced life and lived it to the fullest, he leaves behind a remarkable legacy. Mark made the world a better place. He will be truly missed.
