Grace Olson

September 21, 1915 – October 24, 2017

Grace Olson passed away at Hyde Park View – Personal Care at the age of 102. She was born in Minnedosa district, Manitoba. She married Arnold Olson in Vancouver in 1950. They farmed in the Frontier, SK area until 1987 when they retired to Saskatoon. Grace loved gardening, Scandinavian cooking and baking and various hand crafts. She tried ceramics, upholstery, knitting and various fibre arts. Her favourite was Norwegian hardanger stitchery. She was an active member of the College Park Covenant Church. Grace is loved and remembered by her son Gerald (Lorelee) Olson; granddaughters Tonya and Kira; 4 siblings Harriet McLaren, Bernice Anderson, Albert (Clara) Johnson and Wes (Connie) Johnson. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold Olson; parents Hilma and Elmer Johnson; siblings Irving (Florence) Johnson, Archie Johnson, Ioleen (Phil) Peterson; and brothers-in-law Rev. Wendell Anderson and William McLaren. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at College Park Covenant Church (909 Acadia Dr.) in Saskatoon.
