September 30, 1947 – June 6, 2011
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt, Gloria Yvonne Cooper after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Gloria is lovingly remembered by her family, Karen and John Allen, Justin (Melissa), Brianna and Ashton, of Blackfoot, Ab. Kathy and David Bishop, Taylor and Jordan of Saskatoon, Sask. Kelly Irmen and Hamish Hamilton of George Town, Grand Cayman. Gloria will also be missed by her very dear friend Annie Gransch, her sister Sandra (John) Wapple, and many extended family and friends.
The family expresses a special thank-you to the caregivers at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Paul’s Hospital for their compassion and kindness which made our mother’s passing so much easier. To our mother's co-workers at WCB and many friends, your kindness and generosity has touched us deeply. Thank you for your support. The Funeral Service for Gloria will be held at 11:00 am Saturday June 11, 2011 at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre. The Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Saskatoon SPCA in Gloria’s name would be appreciated. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Tammy Ferrier of Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre – 955-1600.
