Elaine was born in Prince Albert, SK to Aaron and Agnes Hagen. The fourth of six children, she described her own childhood as perfect. Elaine had a love of fashion and design from a young age, often drawing outfits for her dolls. She spent many summers as a child and teenager working at her parent's store and resort at McIntosh Point, Emma Lake, SK. After attending the University of Saskatchewan, she began a job she loved as a continuity writer for radio and TV at CKBI in Prince Albert. Later, she had a very rewarding career as a Copy Chief in the Advertising Department of Federated Co-Op in Saskatoon. Elaine had a deep love for music and singing. She taught piano and voice lessons and also spent many years singing with the Elim Church Choir.
Elaine devoted her later years to her children and grandchildren. She especially loved when she was able to travel to visit her children and grandchildren in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Perth, Australia.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Kirstie (Anthony), Kelly, Scott and Taylor (Stephen); her grandchildren Kane, Logan, Lily, Alexander, Victoria, Jesse, Jasper, Georgia, and soon to be born granddaughter. She will be missed by her siblings Claire, Patricia, Anne (Harry), John (Sheryl) and Elizabeth, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 21, 2018 at 2:00pm at Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre located at 915 Acadia Drive.
