Deanna Lynn Nagy was born on November 28th, 1978, to her loving parents Edward and Beverly Anne Nagy of St. Brieux, Saskatchewan.
Growing up in small rural town with her two siblings, Julie and Michael. Deanna’s love of the outdoors and nature bloomed every day. Whether she was exploring outside somewhere, swimming with family or looking after her siblings, she was always so happy as a child. It was easy to see that Deanna was passionate about the well-being of others from an early age. The care she had for her parents, siblings, family, and friends was so prominent and glowing.
Deanna eventually moved to Saskatoon with her mother and siblings, but always kept her childhood in St. Brieux as one of her fondest memories. In Saskatoon Deanna made many friends from school and from being in extracurricular activities like girl guides, softball, and other sports. Deanna was also an incredibly talented artist, especially with drawing and sketching. If you were lucky enough to have her draw or sketch something for you, you knew it was special. To honestly put it, anything Deanna focused on whether in school or something challenging, she excelled. It feels like she grew up so fast, why there are so many memories to share. Deanna’s proudest moments in life however were her beautiful children, Dakotah, Daniah, Gracie, PJ, Dalton, Drake, and Sam. Deanna’s love for her children is like no other, there was not one conversation or length of time spent with her that she didn’t speak of her love, fondness, and pride for them.
Deanna faced hardships and obstacles in life, but her children were here driving strength. Her goal was to continually better their life and her own, no matter the difficulty. One of her most successful achievements was graduating from SIIT. Deanna worked tirelessly to accomplish this. She was extremely proud of herself, and this was a big moment for her, symbolizing the positive changes she was making. Deanna’s aspirations were to help and advocate for women and youth who experienced the same hardships. She was able to experience that with joy from the help she gave others through volunteer work she did enthusiastically. Deanna was always a very humble person, who genuinely enjoyed the simple things in life. Being outdoors, reading and writing, watching movies, bowling, and going for walks. She was strong minded and stood her ground, she had no reservation in speaking her mind whether you agreed or not. Deanna, however, was selfless, caring, and loving to all of those who knew and bonded with her, her presence was so big to all those she knew.
Deanna is predeceased by her loving grandparents Michael and Corrine Laframboise, John, and Elizabeth Nagy. Her loving parents Edward Nagy, Beverly Nagy, and stepdad John Stephenson. Deanna is survived by her loving children Dakotah, Dania, Gracie, PJ, Dalton, Drake, and Sam. Her loving grandchildren Mileena Rose, Natyiri, Nakiera, and Kaybrei. Her loving siblings Julie, Michael, Corrine and Robert, all of her nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties, cousins, extended family, and close friends.
Deanna will not be forgotten, she is with us still in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. She is at peace now with her loved ones before her, our lord, and is free from her worldly pain. Our beloved mother, sister and friend is watching over us with a love that is like no other, we will be with her again.
