It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cole Nicolas Beck on Wednesday February 8, 2023, at the age of 27. Cole was born on October 1, 1995 in Saskatoon. Cole will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jared and Cheri Beck and his brother Brennan.
Cole’s life was filled with many special family friends who had an important impact in his life. He spent special moments with his Grandpa and Grandma Fazekas, sharing his amusing life stories while getting mechanical expertise from Grandpa and enjoying his Gram-Gram’s many delicious meals.
Cole liked his sports, he played hockey with the Redwing’s and the Bobcat’s and enjoyed playing softball in the off season. He obtained his certification to referee hockey and umpire softball. Cole graduated from Clavet High School in 2014. Cole’s physical stature of 6’6” made him a force to be reckoned with during his time playing football and basketball in high school.
Family was important to Cole and he spent quality time visiting his Aunty Shauna, Uncle Dale and cousin Jake, often enjoying Aunties gourmet meals and their warm hospitality. Many special memories were made at the family cabin where Cole enjoyed water sports, boating, quadding, motorbiking and snowmobiling. He loved his weekend mornings at the lake spent with his brother Brennan, Uncle Ryan, Aunt Shelley and cousins Amber and Dylan.
His connection to nature brought him peace and happiness and often drew him to the Rocky Mountains where he spent time hiking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
For the past two years Cole pursued a career in the oilfield industry. Often his employer’s spoke of his strong work ethic, positive attitude and value he brought to any crew he worked with.
Anyone who knew Cole will remember his larger than life smile that would light up any room, his infectious laughter, his warm bear hugs and an inner conviction that made him rally for the underdog. He had a genuine love of animals especially for his family dog Aussie.
Left to mourn are his grandparents, Vance and Theresa Fazekas and Margaret Beck, his Aunt’s and Uncle’s: Shauna (Dale) Altrogge - their children Jacob and Jordan (Katelyn), Ryan (Shelley) Fazekas - their children Amber and Dylan, Rodney (Sandi) Beck - their children Renee (Beck) Erdmann, Noelle (Mike) Kembel and Brock Beck. Tom (Cindy) Beck - their children Megan (Jeff) Dupuis and Halie Beck. Sheila (John Galley) Beck and Joelle (Mark) Besse.
In honor of Cole please consider making a donation to the SPCA (5028 Clarence Avenue South Grasswood, SK S7T 1A7). This was a very special place to him.
A Celebration of Cole’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Acadia Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive Saskatoon).
