It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Clarissa Paproski peacefully at her residence, Porteous Lodge. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Mel (Norma Jean) Paproski, Donelda (Wally) Ferguson, Terry (Dianne) Paproski, Shirley (Bob) Masterton, Ralph Paproski, and Sandi Summach; Nineteen grandchildren: Carrie Paproski, Darren (Mandy) Paproski, Michelle Paproski, Suzanne (Gary) Fauteux, Jaye Lynn (Andrew) Gooch, Nolee, Valaria, Hunter, Jaxson Paproski; Sherri (Arnold) Ferguson; Mark (Cheryl) Ferguson, Jeff (Wanda) Ferguson; Teri(Jason)Bonin, Brad Paproski; Joseph, Stephen (Christine), Anthony Paproski; Jara, Regeena Summach; Twenty great grandchildren: Simone Paproski; Ryan, Kailyn Paproski; Cherie, Aimee Fauteux, Alycia, Kylie Gooch; Eli Ferguson; Justin, Colton Ferguson; Tanor, Sawyer Rae, Riley Bonin; Brian, David, Steve, Michelle Paproski; Xander, Skyla, Owen Paproski. She is also survived by three sisters: Genevieve Sullivan, Marie Loschuk, Josephine (Frank) Blisner; as well as many nieces and nephews. Clarissia was predeceased by her loving husband Louie, her parents John and Mildred Sinnett, and her brother Jerry and his wife Edna Sinnett. Mom was born in Sinnett, Sask., she graduated from nursing in Humboldt with The Sisters of St. Elizabeth. She worked as a nurse in Rosthern for two years and she left to marry Dad in 1937. Mom and Dad remained in Sinnett to run the general store and the Western Grain elevator for a few years and they continued farming until 1967. Mom worked as nurse in Leroy Sask. starting in 1960 until they retired from farm life and moved to Saskatoon. There Mom worked at St’s Anne’s Nursing Home until her retirement at age 65. She loved working with the Sisters there along with Mr & Mrs Lawn who were dear friends to both her and Dad. After she retired she became a “home body” and she enjoyed spending time and playing cards with family. In between these visits she was an avid hockey (Montreal) and baseball (Toronto) fan. She never missed watching her sports. Mom was a quiet and gentle lady with a beautiful smile who loved her family deeply and who had a deep and abiding faith in God. The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr A. J. Harrington and all the staff at Porteous Lodge for their care and compassion shown to Mom. As well to Sandi’s friend Carolyn Wellman who was with Mom when she passed away. Vigil of Prayer will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday December 5,2010 and Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. December 6, 2010. Both services will be held at St. Philip Neri Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are entrusted to Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre.
