Mom was born August 10, 1924 at Scott, SK to Anton and Rosa Young. Being raised in a family of 11 siblings, she appreciated a home filled with children and was fortunate to find a partner that shared her dreams. Mom and Dad built their home on a mixed farm near Blucher, SK, which was purchased in 1946. They retired to a condo in Saskatoon in 2006. 4 years after Dad’s passing, mom moved to Amy McClure House in 2020 until present. Mom thrived in farm life, enjoying open spaces, fresh air, sunrises, waving grain fields, animals (especially kittens), crosswords, reading, art work, gardening, baking, quilting, dancing, music and was close with her church as a Roman Catholic lay person. She found great joy in her family, had a delicious sense of humor and a dry wit. We all know how fond she was of shared fun at farm BBQ’s and raffling off her homemade quilts. Mom has 2 surviving sisters, Helen and Irene. She is predeceased by daughter’s Darlene, Linda and her forever sweetheart, Tony.
