It is with great sadness that we announce that our Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Uncle and Brother, aged 85 years of Allan, Saskatchewan and formerly Sarnia, Ontario passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
Berton was predeceased by his beloved wife, Doris of 59 years, father George Trowbridge, mother Celia Eileen (Myers) Trowbridge, brothers Larry Trowbridge and Dale Trowbridge and cherished daughter Carolee Ann.
Dad will be greatly missed by his sons Richard (Lori) Trowbridge and Raymond Trowbridge and daughter Catherine. Grandsons Todd, Travis and Tyler and Matthew (Emma) and Michael (Jade) and great granddaughter Abigail, brother Wayne Trowbridge and sister Linda Maitland. Bert will also be missed by sister/brother in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Dad was a hard worker all of his life and was most proud of his years as an Ironworker. Bert helped build the second span of the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia, Ontario. Dad loved his time at his cabin in Northern Ontario with family and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Kodad and Dr. Hart’s Teams and the many Nurses and hospital staff at Royal University Hospital. A special thank you to Dad’s neighbours, the Kemps. A Celebration of Life will take place in summer of 2023 in Sarnia, Ontario with details to follow. In Berton's memory please consider making a donation to the Breakfast Club of Canada (411-470 Granville Street Vancouver, BC V6C 1V5).
