Vincent Paul Carpenter, age 93, of Sarasota, died peacefully surrounded by the loving arms of his devoted wife of 68 years, Lorraine. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. He proudly defended his country during WWII in the United States Army.
He enjoyed studying the Bible, ballroom dancing, cooking, singing and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine; Son, Thomas Carpenter of Yorktown Heights, NY; Daughter, Lynn Ames of East Stroudsburg, PA; Son, Richard Carpenter (Deborah) of Saginaw, MI; Daughter, June Denton (Michael) of Sarasota, FL; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Son, Vincent Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in the funeral home from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Celebration of Life services will be conducted in the Legacy Chapel with Pastor Todd Keuhn, officiating at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 12:00 pm, with United States Military Army Honors immediately following.
