Sean Michael Bureau

A gathering of family & friends for Sean will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 at 3:30 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232, followed by a memorial service at 4:30 PM.

Sean was born in Hartford, CT on October 24, 1978. He graduated from AuSable Valley Central School in Clintonville, NY where he enjoyed many laps around the school pool with his swimming teammates. Sean attended SUNY Potsdam, Stony Brook University and later served in the United States Coast Guard. Sean married Jen Rullman on July 2, 2005 in Huntington, NY. Sean worked as a Sr. Product Manager for Charles Schwab for the past 4 years.

In his free time, Sean could be found cheering on his beloved New York Giants or listening to Dave Matthews Band recorded or, better yet, in person. Sean loved camping and sharing that experience with his family. He enjoyed music, concerts and had a zest for life. He never knew a stranger. However, far and away, his greatest passion was being a father to his two children Addison and Alexander.

He will be remembered as a loving father, husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, nephew and friend. In short, he will be remembered as loving.

Sean is survived by his wife Jen, children Addie and Alex, mother Peggy Bureau, mother-in-law Diane Rullman, father-in-law George Rullman, sister Alicia Martisus and her husband Derek, brother Jordan Bureau, sister-in-law Michelle Eggert, brother-in-law Evan Rullman.

Sean is preceded in death by his brother Justin, father Ronald and dogs Jake, Dutch, Lexi and Chang.
