Sara graduated from LaGrange College in Georgia and earned her masters degree in Library Science from Emory University. She had been an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and was a member of United Methodist Women throughout her life. She very much enjoyed reading and gardening. Her friends were all envious of her green thumb.
She is survived by her loving son Stephen Kane of Sarasota and her dear sister Bernice Spier of Ft. Walton Beach.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jay H. Kane, and parents George W. & Anne Davis
A visitation for Sara will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. An entombment service will occur Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 12:00 PM, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
