Born May 5, 1935 in Easton, PA, Joan was the daughter of Harry and Wilma Koepler Brewer and step-father Paul W. Muench. She graduated from Haverford High School, Havertown, PA in 1953. Growing up and marriage meant living in many places including Colombia, South America and she and her husband, Bob, moved to Florida in 2007 from Cockeysville, MD.
Her caring, resiliency, an abundant amount of energy, along with a great memory, contributed to a successful 67 year marriage and raising a family.
She was preceded in death by her son Michael, parents, and brother, Harry G. Brewer Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; two children, Holly Pirie and her husband Allan Pirie of Sarasota, FL, and Kelly Geer Ripken of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Rachel Ripken of Lafayette, CO and Ryan Ripken of Baltimore, MD; her deceased son’s fiancée, Leslie Lusby of Baltimore, MD; and step-brother, Paul Muench of Leesburg, VA.
Funeral service is private.
