He married the love of his life, Marsha Johnson, who passed before him in 2022. They were married for 53 wonderful years. They had three beloved children and four grandchildren that were the sunshine in life.
James was a true angel on earth. He was a loving, kind, and generous person to all. James was a co-owner of Johnson Electric Company, which was founded, owned, and operated by him and his siblings. He was very active in his children’s activities, the Babe Ruth baseball league, and a “UF” fanatic.
James is preceded in death by his wife, Marsha; sister, Patricia Giles; brother, William A. Johnson; and parents, William Amos Johnson and Josephine P. Hill.
He is survived by his children, Holly Johnson, Jodi Riggs (Buddy), Jimmy Johnson (Crystal); and his grandchildren, Brandon Riggs, Trevlyn Riggs, Lauren Johnson, and Saxton Riggs. “Pa”, known to all, will be remembered forever.
