Jerry is survived by his children Wendy Grimm (Reed), Barbara Passalacqua (Joe), and Rick Rosenberg (Kathy). He is predeceased by his wife, Joan Rosenberg (nee Seyler) and his sister, Phoebe Eisenberg.
Jerry was born on December 27, 1929, to Sylvia Frisch and David Rosenberg. Jerry spent much of his childhood in Sarasota and married his high school sweetheart, Joan, soon after graduation. He then obtained a mechanical engineering degree from George Washington University. Jerry subsequently worked at various companies, developing patented inventions for the US Post Office as well as the hi-fi industry. After moving back to Sarasota in 1972 he became a contractor and developed numerous projects, including Riegels Landing and Harbour Town on Siesta Key.
Jerry was a devoted father and avid sailor. He was an accomplished artist and also built model airplanes as a hobby. He loved to play tennis in his younger years and in his later years switched to racket ball. He was proud to say that he was the leading player in his age group, joking that the only player in his age group was himself. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
