Debra Jo Brantingham

Debra “Debbie” Jo Brantingham, the most loving mother, “gramma”, sister, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and the joy of family.

She now joins in heaven her beloved parents, Janet Skowron of Salem, Ohio, and Sam Brown of Wildwood, Florida, as well as her life long loving husband, Steve Brantingham. After patiently waiting to be reunited, they are together again, surrounded by peace and love, watching over the family from the best seats in the house.

Debbie was born in Newark, Ohio, and eventually settled in Salem, Ohio. She attended Salem Senior High School class of 1966. It was there that she met and married her husband, Steve Brantingham, and they began their journey as a family, raising their three children, Jennifer, Jill, and Jared.

In 1987, Debbie and Steve moved their family to Siesta Key, Florida, beginning a new chapter of life by the ocean. Here they grew their family and started a new business venture; Protile, that would become a part of the family legacy.

Her love and memory are carried on by her three children, Jennifer Brantingham and husband Bryon Ferguson, Jill Sheeler, and Jared Brantingham; her sisters Cindy Koenrich and Tammy Brown; her eight grandchildren, Jada Sheeler and husband Vlad Ladchuk, Mekiah Sheeler, Myah Brantingham, Kian Sheeler, Alex Brantingham, Jake Brantingham, Mica Ferguson, and Sparrow Brantingham; and her great grandchild, Koda Ladchuk. Her legacy of love and joy lives on through them, woven into every cherished memory they carry forward.

A celebration of Debbie’s extraordinary life will be held on her first heavenly birthday, January 2, 2025, at the Southgate Community Center at 2 p.m. 3145 S Gate Cir, Sarasota, FL 34239.
