Beverly Ann Bradburn

Four days after celebrating her 68th birthday, Bev passed away September 12, 2022, surrounded by family and her medical peers who nobly endeavored to keep her with us a little longer.

If ever there were a Renaissance woman, it was Bev. The world was one big adventure and she embraced the challenge to explore it all. From China to France, Angkor Wat to Machu Picchu, Bev loved immersing herself in other cultures; and to experience it all with family and friends.

Never did she leave a country without seeking out a local artist who could capture the essence of their homeland far greater than a photograph. Oils and watercolors – images from far-away places - lined the walls of her home.

So too was her desire to explore every corner of America almost always with her siblings, nieces and nephews in tow.

She was the family matriarch, the teacher, unequalled mentor and ultimate giver. She was the “fun parent” and the lifeblood of every family gathering.

She taught us how to tie our shoes, how to write our names in cursive and to memorize our address and phone number before we could enter kindergarten.

She “forced” us to visit museums and attend Broadway shows and made us actively witness major world events, from the Olympics to presidential inaugurations to lunar landings.

She was the instiller of culture in our lives. She was the one who brought the generations together.

She was also the saver of lives. For nearly three decades, Bev served as a nationally certified Med-Surge nurse. Stacks of commendations and awards testify to her medical prowess, including her nomination as Nurse of the Year. Bev was a fierce advocate for her patients, going to great lengths on their behalf. As such, she became the eyes and ears for doctors who considered her their go-to resource on the floor.

Bev is irreplaceable. And a legacy unmatched.

She is survived by her siblings: Robert T. Bradburn (RuthAnn) of Brooksville, Faith Bradburn Keller of Sarasota and Lara Bradburn of Brooksville; Six nieces and nephews – Detective James Edward Keller II (Shannon) of North Port, SFC Jessica Keller Nolan (Glen) of Mesa, AZ; Sarah Ann, Matthew, Elizabeth and Joseph Bradburn of Brooksville, FL.; and five great nieces and nephews – Addison, Paisley and Kinley of North Port and Tristan and Remington of Mesa, AZ.
