Taylor Marie Tucker was born November 9, 1992 in Mobile, Alabama. She passed away from this earthly life on March 22, 2021. Taylor is survived by her son Kaison Tucker, age 7, parents, Carrie and Trey Ellis and Kyle and Jami Tucker, her siblings, Davin and Courtney Tucker (niece Chase), Gage Tucker, Rori Katherine Tucker, Remington Tucker and Cole and Erica Ellis (nephew Waylon), grandparents Faye and Henry Tucker, great grandfather LaVoy Stinson, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless cherished friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Jerry Dycus, Lorraine Stinson, cousins Brandi Tucker and Durand Rivers, and aunt Jackie Gray.
Taylor grew up in the North Mobile area, where she created a life full of cherished friendships and family ties. Her greatest life's accomplishment was her son, Kaison. Taylor poured all that she had into loving him, and creating a beautiful life for him. She happily spent her evenings at the ball field and her weekends at his games. She made sure he was the best dressed little guy in 1st grade, even if he didn't want to wear those button down shirts and nice shoes. There wasn't a day that went by that Taylor did not let the world know how proud she was of her beautiful and hilarious son. Taylor was also the proudest aunt around. She adored her niece Chase (or as Taylor called her, her best girl) and her newest nephew Waylon. Taylor made it her mission in December to find that matching pajama set for this cousin crew's first Christmas together, and it was little things like this that she found great joy in.
Taylor was a wonderful little and big sister. She and Davin have been the closest of friends since they were born. He was the truest of lifelong friends, and she was his. They had their fair share of sibling rivalries, but Taylor loved and looked up to her big brother more than words could express, and she loved the relationship he has with Kaison. She knew she could always count on Davin, and he knew he could always count on her. She found a big sister and best friend in her sister-in-love, Courtney, and cherished this relationship. Courtney came into Davin's life when Taylor was in her early teens, and as years passed, it was as if Courtney had just always been there with them. They loved sharing daily life together and loving on each other’s babies. Taylor and her younger brother Cole have always been kindred spirits. They have a unique relationship and similar personalities that keep their mom and Trey on their toes and full of laughter. She loved to tell others about Cole and of course, his newest little guy Waylon. Gage was the little brother that always looked up to Taylor and especially her love for mud-riding. She loved this little guy so much, and was so proud of the young man he was becoming. Remington has always been the little brother to make Taylor laugh, and be a good friend and fun uncle to Kaison. When the twins, Remi and Rori were born, you could count on finding Taylor holding one of those babies. Taylor wasn't completely outnumbered by brothers, thanks to her little sister Rori Katherine. Rori has always looked up to Taylor, and Taylor sure loved Rori. Rori helped balance Taylor out in a family full of brothers and looked forward to the sister-bonding time they shared. These two are their “deddy’s girls.”
Taylor was her momma's best girl from the start. She was truly her mom’s best friend, and her mom was hers. When Taylor was young, they loved to ride horses and go to the river. Taylor knew she had the comfort in her momma's daily phone conversations to and from work, and even for those mid-day lunch breaks. Taylor knew her mom loved her and Kaison deeply, and loved that she was "Kaison's Nana". Trey and Taylor have been close from the time he came into their lives. When she got hurt as a kid, she would bypass her momma and go to Trey for comfort. She got her wit and “tell it like it was” attitude from Trey.
Taylor has always been her "deddy's" girl. She looked up to her dad, and knew he would always be there for her. He was the first phone call she would make if she needed anything, and knew her "deddy" would always have her back. As a little girl, he made sure he took her to as many Walmart’s as she needed to get those fishing lures to make her favorite earrings. He provided a role model and safe place for her son Kaison, and that meant the world to her. Taylor was blessed to have Jami come into her life when she was a young girl, and married her father Kyle. They immediately bonded and Taylor looked up to her (even though she may have already been taller than Jami) and loved her dearly. Taylor had comfort in knowing that Jami was always there for her, and for Kaison. She appreciated the way that she loved her and the blessing of having her in her life. Taylor's parent's and her siblings adored her. They loved her spunk, her funny sense of humor, her crazy Facebook posts, and her willingness to "tell it like it was". She was filled with an adventurous spirit and wasn't afraid to be herself, even if that meant rocking those fishing lure earrings and shell necklaces when she was younger or finding her way outdoors to bum around at the beach, or mud-riding, and of course, taking in a Mardi Gras parade. She loved concerts and we can’t forget her love for Dr. Pepper.
Taylor was a good, good friend. She had the most giving and loving heart. She loved her friends and her cousins with true loyalty and joy. She created meaningful friendships full of laughter and dedication. If you made a friend in Taylor, you made a friend for life. She loved her friends, she loved her friend's children, and she treated them like family. Growing up, Taylor's many cousins were her first and truest friends. They were more like siblings than cousins and as the years passed, Taylor proved to stand right next to them in both good times and bad. She adored her niece, nephew and the younger cousins in her life. The girl loved to love on other people's babies. She was a wonderful granddaughter and niece. Taylor was just a beautiful soul, full of life, with a beautiful smile that left a lasting impression. She has faced many challenges in her young life, and she has pushed through them all with determination. She would tell anyone she met that Kaison was her superhero and he saved her. He made her an even more beautiful person than she already naturally was. Her family is proud of her and the life she built. Life without Taylor feels empty, but the memories of her smile, her feisty nature, her laugh, and her joy for Kaison, her family, and friends will always guide us through this life until we meet her again in Heaven. We will always love you, our Tater Bug.
