He was a man of deep faith who lived his life guided by his love for God and family. He worked humbly in the grocery industry and later as a trucker, owning several trucks of his own. His unwavering belief in God showed in how he treated others with kindness, patience and compassion. His joy was in simple moments such as: quiet time with God and loving people, especially his family, a little fishing and a lot of Alabama football. He drew strength from his faith and never missed a chance to share the love of God.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlin and Ophie Hollie, his father and mother-in-law, Gavin and Christine Lofton, his siblings, Cecil Hollie, Alma Hollie McDonald, R.V. Hollie and Bessie Hollie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Mickey Lofton Hollie, his 3 Children, Roy Hollie Jr, Gloria Hollie Dueitt (Mace), Roy Dewayne “Snapper” Hollie (Kaylan), 2 Bonus Children: Linda Weaver, Miranda Cormier (Christian), 1 Special Sister-In-Law: Joyce Mullis (Terry), 7 Grandchildren, 5 Bonus Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, his sister, Lillian Lungren and A host of nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
A visitation for Roy will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home #4406, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
