He was born in Mobile, Alabama and worked 40 years in Battle Creek, MI for the Federal Government. He then retired back to Creola, Alabama. He married Rachel Roberson in 1954 and they had three children who preceded him in death, Samantha, Selena and Robert.
Harold had a love of building things and being a master tomato grower. He loved to be outside and was known for being a hard worker as well as wearing a beanie in all temperatures.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel; sister, Jean Gunter; grandchildren, Heather, Kesha, and Ira; as well as his great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation for Harold will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, with a funeral service in the chapel immediately following. Interment will be in Creola Cemetery.
