Frank Talmedge Coate

Frank Talmadge Coate, 81, of Satsuma, AL, passed away on November 8, 2024. Born on January 13, 1943, Frank honorably served in the US Navy aboard the USS Ticonderoga as a radioman, a testament to his dedication and service to his country.

Frank was a beloved member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Chickasaw, AL, where he was deeply involved in the community and the Knights of Columbus. He was known for his love of working in his shop creating things with his hands and cherished the time spent with his family, creating many fond memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Lee Anne Greene (Ronnie), Tammy Lee (Donald), Mary Walters (Micah), David Coats, and Michael Rogers; grandchildren, Stephanie Lee (Charlie), Jessica Turner (Matt), Linda Ann Coats, and DJ Coats; along with six great-grandchildren and his beloved sister Margret Pouncey. He was preceded in death by his father, Nettles David Coate; mother, Bessie Elise Pupino; stepfather, Alphonse Pupino; first wife Linda Coate and second wife Mary Coate; granddaughter, Tabitha Renee Lee; great-granddaughter, Natalee Michelle Orr; and brother Robert Coate.

Services will be held on November 15th, 2024, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Chickasaw, AL. The family viewing will begin at 9 am, followed by friends and visitors at 10 am. Mass will commence at 11 am. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saraland, AL.
