Earl Gene Goodson Sr.

Mr. Earl Gene Goodson, Sr., age 75, native of Spence, GA and longtime resident of Saraland, AL, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Katie T. Goodson and brother Ralph Goodson. Mr. Goodson was a retired Mechanical Engineer with FLUOR Corporation with over thirty years of service. He also served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved golfing, fishing and was an avid reader. Mr. Goodson is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bobbie Ann Graves Goodson and their children, Sandra Rybacki (Mike), Chris Perry (June), Sheron Atwell (Ray), Brandy Goodson (Wade Dixon) and Earl Gene Goodson, Jr. “Jay” (Jenny). He is also survived by his sisters, Katie Kay (David), Dale Donovan (Duane), Ann Turner, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Goodson, his grandchildren, Jessica (Michael), Matthew, Kimber Nicole, Jacy, Jackson, Jarrett, Paisley, one great-granddaughter, Bonnie and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Chapel services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery
