Our Momma, Doylene Williams Moody went to be with our Lord and Savior, November 19, 2024. She was many things to so many from Momma, Mamaw, Sis, Aunt Daw Daw, a good friend and to her students, Mrs Moody. Everyone LOVED our Mom simply because she loved everyone fiercely! ❤️
Mom was born January 19, 1946, to Emory and Roselean Williams. She grew up in Prichard, AL with her brothers Wayne and Mike. She accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She met at church and married Talmadge Moody, Jr. in 1968. They were blessed with two daughters, Michelle and Melanie as well as her bonus daughter from Talmadge, Sonya. Her greatest joy of all is being a Mamaw to Morgan and a great Mamaw to Haven and Akai. Growing up, she has always been close to her cousins, Lorrie and Dale.
Mom taught many little ones over her 25 year span as an elementary teacher. She ended her career in education at Robert E. Lee School in Satsuma, AL. Teaching was Mom's passion. She loved her little ones and made sure they knew it. Hugs were always given on the daily in Mrs. Moody's Classroom.
She is preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Roselean & Emory Williams and her children's Dad, Talmadge Moody, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories and love, her children, Michelle (Mike) Jefcoat from Saraland, AL, Melanie Toomey (Kaytee Jones) from Spanish Fort, AL, and Sonya (Alfonso) Montemayor from Pleasanton, TX, granddaughter, Morgan (Nolan) Jordan and great grandchildren Haven and Akai Jordan all from Saraland, AL. Her brothers, Wayne (Joyce) Williams from Enterprise, AL and Mike (Susan) Williams from Dallas, TX. As well as her cousins, Lorrie and Dale Perry from Fairhope, AL. Many many relatives, friends and former students will cherish her always. ❤️
