Alexander Hamilton Flint, born June 20, 1926, a native of Bladon Springs, AL and lifelong resident of Saraland, AL passed away on March 29, 2011. He began his career as a Merchant Marine at the age of 18, in World War II, serving as an Engineer-Longshoreman. He was also a Free and Accepted Mason for over 50 years. He was an active member of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for 32 years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, father and "Paw-Paw". We will miss him dearly. He was also a member of Pathway Church. He was an avid outdoorsmen, he loved fishing, boating, hunting, traveling, camping and most of all...watching Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Tinker; his loving wife of 58 years, Juliette Flint; his son, Terry Joe Flint; and his brother, Davis Flint. To cherish his memory, he leaves behind five grandchildren, Jody Gunnin (Dewey), Julie Jordan (Marty), Justin Flint (Tara), Teddie Kimmons and Alex Tinker (Gabriela); 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers. Pallbearers will be Justin Flint, Alex Tinker, Dewey Gunnin III, Marty Jordan, Conrad Vick III and Cody Bailey. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to services. Graveside services and interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Independent Cemetery in Sunny South, AL.
