Hazel Skaggs

Hazel Skaggs, 94 of Santa Paula, passed away Saturday, March 1st, 2014, at Vista Cove Convalescent Home in Santa Paula, Ca. Hazel was born on Dec. 19, 1919, in Millerton, Oklahoma, to Hazel Amy Hunnicutt and Randolph Polley.

In 1945, Hazel came to California and was a 69 year resident of Santa Paula. Hazel was the proud and loving mother of her two sons, Donald Ray Hill and Michael Kenneth Skaggs. She enjoyed cooking, pruning her roses and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Hazel is preceded in death by her first husband Sidney Marion Hill, her second husband William Kenneth Skaggs and her grandson Raymond Hill. She is survived by her son Donald Ray Hill and daughter-in-law Nancy Hill of Valencia and son Michael Kenneth Skaggs of Santa Paula, and her grandchildren; Michael Hill , Teresa DeMayo, Stephanie Hindman, Michelle Walker, Randy Skaggs and Shasta Gereau. Great Grandchildren; Joshua, Rayna, Jake, Danee, Jeremy, Jaydon, Sara, Ben, AJ, Max, Alexis, Nicki, Riley, Avary, Ashley, Cole, Ty, Hunter, Miles and Jackson.

A viewing will be held on Friday March 7, 2014, from 5pm - 9pm at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary

Graveside services will be held at 11am Saturday, March 8th, 2014 at the Santa Paula Cemetery.
