Erik was born on August 18, 1978 to John and Aurelia Aguilar.
On August 20, 2022, he married Armida Ortiz at the Ventura Cross and together they shared 5 months as husband and wife after 4 years of being together.
His legacy will continue on in the lives of his wife, Armida Ortiz Aguilar; his twin daughters, Amme and Emma; his sons, Ezequiel, Jr., Mike, Cris, and Johnny; as well as his grandson, Julian; his brother, John Aguilar III; his parents, John Aguilar Sr and Aurelia "Kookie" Aguilar; the Familia Ortiz, Mario Ortiz Ortiz, Maria Ortiz, Linda Vasquez (Gerardo), Diana Garcia, and Mario Ortiz Jr.
Erik gave his life to our Lord Jesus Christ a year ago. We will remember his humble heart and the love and kindness he gave to his kiddos and Queen. The new person he became radiated love, faithfulness, and trust. Choosing family first, he learned that was all he ever needed.
He made Armida his wife on August 20, 2022 after purposely selecting that day during both of their birthday months for her to become Mrs. Aguilar.
Although a short lived life, Erik lived it to the fullest, making sure his family was taken care of emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially. He always made sure that his kiddos and his wife were always smiling and laughing. He gave us hope to keep living no matter what challenges, obstacles, seasons, and storms we had to face together and never alone.
He grew up in Santa Paula and attended Santa Paula High School before moving to Ventura where he lived with his kiddos and wife.
Erick loved to collect lowriding car show pins from DreamOnPhotography, attend Van Nuys Blvd cruise nights and meet up with his best friends, Daniel Leon aka BossLife_805 from RuthlessRyders Car Club, Alex Morales aka Bigg.Zapp714, Angel Zamora from AngelOne_Magazine, Joseph DJ, Nasario Bastida from Uniques Car Club Orange County, Patti "Don't Trip" from RuthlessRyders Car Club, G Vega from Vegaflicks, his compadre TreasureSnaps Photograph, OG Hyro, Individuals Car Club, Big DBO FunkFreaks, CEO Robert Ortiz of Boulevard Chicanas Worldwide, and always by his side, his wife, Armida Ortiz Aguilar, Compton Chapter President of Boulevard Chicanas Worldwide aka Armylx74.
His greatest achievements were being a father, a husband, and a believer of greater, bigger things in life at all costs. As well as surrendering his life to our Lord Jesus Christ, his Savior.
"The root of a family is Jesus first. The promise, the future, the love, the legacy, the loyalty, the faithfulness, the commitment, the strong bond, the peace, the patience, the foundation, and forgiveness."
Forever my husband, Erik Jason Aguilar.
