I worked with Joanne at the Mt. Pleasant School District.  She was the psychologist at Foothill Intermediate School where my son attended and also at August Boeger Junior High where I worked as the VP.  Joanne was always there for the students, supporting the children that needed it the most!  She was always willing to to help me with some of our most challenging students.  Later in life I reconnected with her on Facebook and loved reading her posts!  Joanne was an advocate for students and I was glad I got to know her. Hoping these words will help you find comfort during this time of sorrow.

Joanne was such a fun, kind and humble person to be around. In my early years as a School Psycologist in the Mt. Pleasant School District, it was Joanne who trained and supported me. She would often tell me that I could be a Superintendent one day. I did become an Assistant Superintendent. I remember having staff meetings at her condo in Watsonville and walking along the shoreline. She spoke lovingly of her family. We had just recently reconnected on facebook, and  I would look forward to reading her Golden State Warriors posts. My  prayers and deepest condolences to the family.
