Jessie died peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2012, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born, Maria De Jesus Barrera in Brady, Texas on June 17, 1930 to Matiana and Santos Barrera. Jessie spent her career educating the children of Alviso at George Maine Elementary before her retirement in 1993. She is predeceased by her ex-husband Fred L. Navarro Sr. Jessie is survived by her children Sylvia Navarro-Miller, Angie Silver, Freddie Navarro, and Elizabeth (Lisa) Navarro Barrera, her son-in-laws, Richard Miller and Moises Barrera, and daughter-in- law, Mary Navarro. Nana will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Raymond Dominguez, Jacob Navarro-Miller, Rachel Navarro- Miller, Angelina Navarro, Ashley Silver, Andrew Silver, Julian Navarro, Emilio Navarro, Sofia Barrera and her great-grandson Nathaniel Dominguez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rosary and Mass, Monday 11/26/12 at 6 PM at St. Lawrence, The Martyr, 1971 St. Lawrence Dr. in Santa Clara (visitation at 4 PM at Lima Family in Santa Clara).
