Gone but not forgotten Dan no more pain & suffering. So much has changed in Marshall ct since we moved in 1976. Lost my mom Nov 15th. Your wife Paula & I have became good friends we talk a lot and share a lot of stories/ memories RIP

Sending love to Dan’s family. He was such a true gentleman and his tender love and care for his family was so evident and made him so endearing. He was so proud of all of you and beamed around his dear Paula. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him. 

So many memories of my Uncle Dan, to many to list.  Here are a few that I will share with you ; 
• Summers on the lake, our families dancing on the patio of the house boat to the song "LOLLY POP" playing charades at the camp site with a white sheet hanging from the clothes line, being tricked into sniper hunting. 
• Holiday parties and monthly birthday celebrations  while Uncle Dan walked around making sure to get memories with his camera,  spinning Ice Cream with the old school Ice cream machine, and cranking the pasta for the tortellini. 
• The way he would say "Hi Lisa" when I arrived at a  gathering and especially his laugh..... A very contagious laugh.  A laugh I swear I picked up when I was 10.

Dan and Paula welcomed us as part of their family over 40 years ago.   We met as part of the families whose children attended the Cupertino Parent Coop Nursery School and a friendship developed that has lasted a lifetime.  

When we learned Dan had past after a long courageous battle with health issues our hearts sank, but knew he had and left a legacy of a great loving family and a example of how to live a life with love, integrity and strength.  

The first thing that struck me was how we will miss his laugh. Dan did not giggle, when he laughed it was always full throated and uncompromising.  That was kind of Dan wasn't it, when he was in, he was all-in. Whether it was coaching soccer, utilizing his many skills around the house or supporting family in good times and bad.  

We took many excursions with Dan and Paula but maybe my favorite memory is the camping trip to Kirby Cove, close to the base of the Golden Gate Bridge.  It was pre-dawn and the fog was in, when suddenly a fog horn bellowed within the campground and we all came flying out of our tents.  Many were not happy about the experience, but above all the din i heard that laugh that all-in laugh of Dan. Dan of course thought it was funny and he was right - so right.

So we all have stories that will come to mind but when we think of Dan we will only have good feelings inside and a smile.  But we will miss our friend and when we have our future get togethers with Paula we will keep a seat for Dan.

And those early pictures of Dan i could swear there is some James Dean in there.

Dan Denison was the kindest, gentlest man that I ever met.  The world will miss him terribly.  I met Dan through Paula at Sutter School.  As we got to know each other they welcomed me into their home and their family with open arms.  Dan was famous for offering me free advice and I always took it because he was always right.  Dan's approach to life was a peacefulness that became a model for my own spirit.  As I say good-bye to Dan, I carry with me many memories and life lessons.  I am grateful for the presence he had in the world but also thankful that his suffering is at long last over.  Dan was deeply loved by all whose lives he touched.  He will remain in our hearts forever.  We carry him forth now in the Dan Denison stories that we will continue to tell  until the end of our days.

My husband, Jim Gleason, and our three sons were privileged to have been touched in different ways by Dan.  He couched our son in soccer, was a friendly neighbor, and the husband of one of my close friends.  He and his son-in-law Frank remodeled our kitchen ten years ago.  Having him in our house every day for several months made it possible for us to get to really know Dan.  He was considerate, generous, kind, gentlemanly, and an honor to call a friend.  We will miss him greatly.  A sweeter man never lived.  

Dan, you will truly be missed by many. I've been blessed to have known Dan since we worked together at H.P since 1973, I couldn't have asked for a better friend/coworker, it was such a joy being around him, he was the nicest and caring person I've ever known. I will miss my Friend A LOT.

We have known Dan since he and Gil were part of forming a youth soccer league in Santa Clara back in the late 1970's  that is still thriving today.   Soccer united our families and we had many good times attending San Jose Earthquake games and tailgating together.
Since those days we enjoyed many years  of friendship with Dan and Paula.  Dan was one of a kind - great family man, friend, incredible human being....  a generous, kind and loving guy.  We sure will miss him.

Dan was a devoted husband and father to his children.  My husband and I enjoyed Dan and Paula’s company over the years while living just a few doors down on the court.  Dan will be missed by all who knew him .  A part of him will continue to live on in his children and grandchildren.

What a beautiful person Dan was, inside and out.  His loss is felt by everyone who knew him.  We are thankful that our paths crossed and that we were able to share in the goodness he brought to all of those around him.  Our thoughts are with the family that he loved so dearly. My memories of Dan will always revolve around his love for his family.  Shared family moments around the campfire at New Brighton Beach, a very special weekend trip with Dan, Paula, and Jessica to Sea Ranch, dinner parties lasting into the night, these are some things I will keep in my heart forever.  He will be missed.

We have been close friends with Dan & Paula since the 80’s. Dan was one of the kindest, most giving man we’ve known! His laugh was “one for the books”, coming from his love of life. He will be sorely missed! We send our love to Paula, Heather & Jessica along with their spouses and children! 💕

Dan will be greatly missed I have been a neighbor of there’s since 1976. I have many fond memories growing up in marshal ct with there kids. I’ll always remember Dan as a happy go lucky man and a wonderful husband father & freind your no longer in pain my dear neighbor fly with the angels 😇
