Jesse Garcia Garcia

Jesse Garcia Garcia, 99 years old, of Anaheim, California, passed away at home on March 30, 2023. He was born on January 20, 1924 in Santa Ana, California to Marijildo and Victoria Garcia. Jesse was married to Phyllis Ives, who survives him, on April 25 in 1991 in a courthouse in Santa Ana, California. Jesse graduated from Trade School and received a Certificate in Welding from Long Beach, California. Jess worked as a Welder/Fabricator for Aero Jet and Douglas. Jesse was survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; his eight children: Michael, Steve, Peggy, Stephanie, David, Jesse Jr., Barbara and Mary Frances; his 17 grandchildren, and his 19 great-grandchildren.

Jesse worked as a Welder for Aero Jet and Douglas for over 20 years. He served in the Marines, Army and the National Guard. Jesse served in the Marine Corps from December 1, 1943 to July 1, 1946, ranking as a Corporal and served in the Second World War. While serving in the military, he received a Certificate of Service in WWII as a Marine and Rifle Expert in the Army.

Jesse loved animals, including his pets, Bon Bon and Peaches; he also had an Australian Shepherd, Brawley and a Corgi, Bella whom he loved very much. Jesse took part and enjoyed fishing; he also loved watching sports, especially Laker’s Basketball and the LA Rams Football games and had a passion for basketball, boxing, airplanes, and was a History Buff. He was a member of the Salvation Army, Buena Park Senior Center, and a member of St. Boniface Church.

A visitation for Jesse will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705.
