James F. Dickson

Born in Santa Ana, CA. Attended Santa Ana High School graduating in 1944.

He was an Eagle Scout, Master Councilor and Chevalier Degree in DeMolay, Boys State delegate, and Senior Class President.

Served in the United States Navy in the V12 Officer Training Program from 1944 - 1946.

Graduated from the University of Washington in 1948. While there was a member of Sigma Alpha Fraternity and Phi Kappa Psi Business Honorary.

He then attended the Stamford University Graduate School of Business and received an MBA in 1950.

Began his career with the Broadway Department Store and then joined The May Co. where he served in various executive positions. He later joined and retired from the United States Shoe Corporation.

Served as President of the Western Shoe Associates and Kiwanis Club of Corona del Mar. He was a member of The Newport Beach Country Club and St. Marks Presbyterian Church.

He loved to travel and visited six continents, over forty countries and all fifty states. He was a resident of Corona del Mar since 1976. Survived by his son, Steve, his sister Jane Johnson of Santa Ana, stepchildren Nick Coo (wife Christina), Matt Coo (wife Mai), and four grandchildren.
