Dana R Gallagher born in 1949, in San Diego, CA to parents, Daniel E Gallagher and Helen J Shirley, died at his home April 15, 2021, in Santa Ana, CA. Dana married Susan, the girl next door, in Palm Springs, CA 1972. After working for American Airlines and Air California, they moved to Orange County, CA, in 1975.
After graduating high school, Dana continued to study topics he found interesting, through college and on-line courses. TSgt in the 730th Military Airlift Squadron as a C-141 A+B+C Loadmaster for 31 years and 9 months, flying many missions to the Pacific Ocean area, along with Humanitarian missions to Rwanda, Somalia and Mogadishu. He was activated in 1991 for the Desert Shield War. City Letter Carrier for 28 years, in Irvine, CA. Active in his earlier years with Civil Air Patrol and the Boy Scouts of America.
Dana faced a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s with strength, grace and tremendous faith in his Lord Jesus Christ. He is survived by son Rick Gallagher, daughter-in-law Theresa, son Ryan and grandchildren Riley and Evan Gallagher.
