William Guy Miller

William Guy Miller, 83, of Sanford, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2024. He was born on August 9, 1941, in Barwick, Georgia, and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

William married the love of his life, Carolyn L. Miller, on February 14, 1965. Together, they built a wonderful life filled with love and laughter. William dedicated much of his career to the grocery industry, working for several well-known companies including Wades Grocery, Food Fair, Pantry Pride, Gooding’s, Winn Dixie, and Publix. His commitment to his work and community was evident in all he did.

A man of many passions, William found joy in gardening, fishing, and beekeeping. He cherished the time spent nurturing his plants, casting a line, or tending to his bees, activities that brought him peace and happiness.

William is survived by his loving children, Christopher Miller and Buffy Miller, as well as his cherished grandchildren: William Arwood, Andreas Thon, Sophia Thon, Heidi Thon, Shawn Arwood, and Alissa Arwood. He is also survived by his brother, Curtis Miller. He was predeceased by his siblings Anna Carhart, Claudia Billington, Homer Miller, and Douglas Miller.

William will be remembered for his warm spirit, gentle nature, and unwavering love for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for William will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, located at 5000 County Road 46A, Sanford, FL 32771, followed by a funeral service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. All are welcome to join in honoring his life and legacy.
