Samuel Henry Stevens, 81, of Lake Mary Florida departed this life in Florida on December 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Viewing will be held 12-2pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024. Funeral services will follow at 2pm and the graveside service at 3pm at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home and Oakview Cemetery. Pastor Mychael Eikenberry of Countryside Baptist officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Sanford.
Samuel was born on September 5, 1943 in Allentown, PA to Samuel Erwin Stevens and Ruth Lillie Brinker Stevens. He married the love of his life, Judith Ann Parsell Stevens on December 3, 1966 and celebrated 58 years together shortly before he passed.
Samuel was a graduate of Emmaus High School and got an Electronics Degree from Lincoln Tech. He also worked in his parents Beauty Shop (Mr. and Mrs. Sam’s) as a perm and hair color specialist. Samuel eventually was self-employed and started S H Stevens Electric and eventually Stevens Automation and Controls. He worked as a designer of Automation and Control Systems. He did many projects and developed very complex systems, of which he was most proud developing the Persian Missile line which helped the US greatly.
He was a member of the Masons, Jesters, Rotary Clubs, and Brookside Country Club in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. He was a snowbird living in the Davenport area for many years until he and his wife decided to live in Florida full time and move to Lake Mary.
Samuel had a passion for golf and designing complex systems. He loved music, attending church, playing the trumpet, and bartering for a great bargain. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family. Sam was a unique man who was full of passion and drive. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Erwin Stevens and Ruth Lillie Brinker Stevens, his sister Margaret Stroll and his grandchild Mehdi Mourad.
He is Survived by his wife, Judith Ann Parsell Stevens, His son, Richard Stevens and wife Mary Anne of Orlando, FL, Daughters Cynthia Sefiane and husband Hassane (Nathan) of Azrou, Morocco, Elizabeth Ehrhart and husband Benjamin of Denver, PA, along with 18 grandchildren. His brothers, James Stevens and wife Linda of Bluffton, SC and William Stevens and wife Susan of Bethlehem, PA. As well as several nieces and nephews.
