He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darlene; sons, Allen Greene (wife, Joanne), Wes Blalock (wife, Mary), Jeff Blalock (wife, Sara), Robert Jr., Ron (wife, Janet), Gary (partner, Lisa), and daughter Roberta Zeller (husband, Randal). He had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oswald and Alpha Sargent, and his brother, Richard Sargent.
He was an Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He specialized in photography and camera repair.
He worked as a merchandise manager for Albert's Drug Store, salesperson for Heintzelman Ford and fleet sales manager for Don Reid Ford - all in Orlando, FL. He retired in 1996.
Robert, "Bob" to his friends and family, was a loving and dedicated husband and father. He loved all things cars. He served as pit marshal with IMSA (International Motor Sports Association). He enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races.
Bob and Darlene enjoyed antiques. They began an antique shop, Attic Treasures, in 1986, at Renninger's Antique Market in Mount Dora. They started the business while living in Orlando, so in 2002, they moved to Mount Dora to be closer to their shop.
