Rebecca "Beckie" Renee Souza, of Debary, Florida, wife of David J. Souza, daughter of Frank and Janice D. Lema received her wings in heaven on the morning of Thursday, October 14, 2021. Beckie was born on July 21, 1968.
Beckie graduated from Middletown High School in Rhode Island and received her Associates degree in Computer Programming with Honors from Bristol Community College, her Associate in Arts degree from Seminole Community College, and her Bachelors Degree with Honors in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. Beckie worked in the legal field her entire career, spanning over three decades.
Beckie married her soul mate (Love at First Sight) David J. Souza on March 14, 2000, and was loved by him, more and more every single day, from that day forward.
Beckie was a professional Artist, and had a tremendous amount of artistic ability, and raw talent. Beckie spent most of her free time in her art studio creating beautiful artwork, drawings, paintings, and sketches. Beckie loved to create her art, telling everyone that "The world needs more positivity and art!", and she lived life by that saying. Beckie lived life to the fullest and captured much of the worlds beauty with her art, and also her stunning photography. Beckie was a multi-talented, intelligent, happy, energetic, compassionate, loving, caring, beautiful soul of a person. Beckie was always there to help anyone in need. Beckie always rooted for the underdog in every situation. Beckie loved animals, all of her pets were rescued and meant the world to her.
Beckie's smile radiated, and it brightened every room she entered. Her positivity was palpable.
Beckie will be missed deeply by her surviving husband. She will also be missed by her surving siblings, Frank J. Lema, Justin S. Lema, Alison A. Lema and Austin N. Lema as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the thousands of lives that she touched throughout her amazing lifetime.
Beckie's gathering of friends and family will be held on Sunday, November 14th, 2021 at 12:14 pm to 1:14 pm followed by a celebration of life service at 1:14 pm. at Baldwin Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel, 5000 County Rd 46A, Sanford, FL 32771. Please dress in colorful dresses with flowers, butterflies, etc and colorful ties, shirts and jackets, as opposed to all black attire. Beckie would want there to be lots of happy colors around her.
