It is with great sadness, the family of Mary Price St Lawrence announce her passing. She was 81 years young at time of her death. Mary was surrounded by her family, husband, daughter, granddaughter, and son-in-law at her bedside at the very end.
Mary was born in Humboldt, Tennessee on September 27, 1943. She was the middle daughter to Howard and Margie Price. Her family moved to Mount Dora, Florida when she was a in sixth grade. Mary graduated from Mount Dora High School.
Mary was going to be an airline stewardess with National Airlines in Miami, Florida until she realized her feet needed to be on the ground at all times. Hence she became employed with Minute Maid in Orlando, Florida in their marketing department. Mary enjoyed her job getting to go to all kind of events and meet celebrities such as Walt Disney when Minute Maid was a big sponsor of Disney World. Professional golfers, such as Chi Chi Rodriguez at PGA events. Mary even got a ride in the Goodyear Blimp, which was a stark reminder as to why she didn’t become an airline stewardess.
Eventually, Minute Maid move their office from downtown Orlando to Houston, Texas. Mary relocated to Texas but quickly became homesick missing her family. She resigned and returned to Mount Dora within a few weeks. Mary then became the office manager for a small custom builder in Altamonte Springs Florida called Hagan Home. It was while working at Hagan Homes she met her future husband Bill, through his mother, who was Hagen Homes real estate professional.
Mary and Bill moved to Sanford. Fl in 2006. Lake Mary Fl in 2017 and back to Sanford in 2022.
Mary was a “professional” shopper enjoyed golf, traveling, and her every day Chardonnay happy hours.
Mary had one daughter, Kimberly Blackmon Williams (Johnny) and a granddaughter, Brooke Mykenzie Williams, who was her “precious little darlin”!
Mary is survived by her husband, Bill, daughter Kim Williams (John), granddaughter, Brooke Williams, sisters, Carolyn Gaglione and Linda Odom(Chuck). Sister in Laws, Linda Curtiss, Denise Alcorn, Brother in Law Bob St Lawrence (Colleen) and was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Margie Price.
Services for Mary will be on December 4th 2024, with family greeting friends from 12-1pm. Services at 1pm and interment immediately following at Oaklawn Cemetery.
