She was preceded in death by husbands Charles R. Thompson in 1976 and Howard Hatfield in 1994, son Charles Curtis Thompson in 1999.
Marcella Thompson is survived by sons Carl M. Thompson (wife Joyce Steinmeyer Thompson) of Debary FL and Sam David Thompson of Daytona Beach, Florida, grandsons Carl M. Thompson Jr. (wife Emily Sheridan Thompson) of Deland, Brian Ray Thompson (wife Brittany McKelvy Thompson) of Iverness, Charles Christopher Thompson (wife Nayibe Rodriguez Thompson) of Tampa, granddaughter Rachael Thompson Roharik (husband Todd Roharik) of Akron Ohio, daughter-in-law Marlene Duncan Thompson of Tampa and great-grandchildren – Breanna, Braylee and Luke Matthew.
Marcella H. Thompson started her working career in government services with the Farmers Home Administration in 1950, Department of Defense Army, IRS and retired in the US Postal Service in 1990.
In retirement, she enjoyed gardening and the art of porcelain painting for several years.
