Madie M. Ray, 97, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2020. She was born on July 7, 1923 in Sumter, South Carolina to the late Donald and Alice McLeod.
Madie proudly served in the Army during WWII as a nurse where she met the love of her life, Frank. She was a woman of great faith, intelligence and grace. She was a devoted wife, mother and RN where she cared for her patients at Florida Hospital for many years. She was an active member at First Presbyterian of Maitland for over 60 years.
Meeting Madie in Heaven are her parents; husband, Frank Ray; son, Ron Ray (Sharon) and siblings, Jessie Horne, Kitty Barfield and Donald McLeod.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Doug Ray and William Ray (Lindi); six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; her best friend of 60 years, Pat Lockeby as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
