James William Munsey, 64, of Longwood, FL, passed away July, 24, 2023. Jim was born in Natick, MA on December 9, 1959. Jim married Tracy Jo Hampton on April 15th, 1989 and they raised two beautiful daughters: Nicole and Paige.
Jim is loved by and will be forever missed by so many. Probably the first word that springs to mind when describing Jim is “funny,” though “smart-ass” is a close contender. There were few subjects in which he wasn’t well-versed. Facts were always at his fingertips, and on the rare occasion he lacked an answer, he’d simply invent one (convincingly). He was almost as good at golf as he thought he was. He was a master of all card games and an unbeatable leader of “Simon Says.”
Jim was essentially a kid at heart. There was nothing he enjoyed more than loving and entertaining his wonderful girls. His wife, Tracy, and his daughters, Nicole and Paige, were his entire world. Everyone who met Jim immediately understood that his girls were everything and he provided them a lifetime filled with laughter, love, adventure, and pure joy. Jim was competitive, affectionate, generous, and kind. No one could ask for a better father, husband, brother, son or friend.
Though Jim was successful in business and had a long career, his greatest accomplishments, apart from his contributions to the gene pool, are the myriad moments and memories he left behind for us to cherish.
Jim is gone far too soon, leaving many breaking hearts. With time, the sadness and bitterness of his passing will fade and the memories of his sweetness will live on. At the end of this memorial, we would like to say: Thank you Jim! You made the lives of the people you met fuller and provided a lifetime of fun; mission accomplished. We will always love and miss you. Thank you for everything.
Thank you!
Tracy, Nicole, and Paige
