Gary Everette Swift

Gary was born on December 14, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Glenn and Isabel Swift. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970. He was a first generation graduate of Rollins College in 1978 where he obtained his MBA. He served as the Assistant Director of the Volusia County Jail for 28 years until his retirement in 2009.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Ron Swift, Darrell Swift, Marilyn Andrews, and Patricia Timpson.

Survivors include his loving wife, Delta Swift; step daughter, Julia (Mark) Lucas; stepson, Charles (Dawn) Taylor; grandchildren, Christopher (Kristen) Lucas, Matthew Lucas, Charlotte (Charles) Lucas Ely, and Jeret Taylor and great grandchildren, Peyton Lucas, MJ Lucas, and Grayson Lucas.
