Dolores “Dee” Garcia Adams lived a life richly blessed with precious family and devoted friends.
Her parents, Constantino Garcia (born in San Martin de Ondes, Spain) and Dolores Leonor Vilches, (born in Cien Fuegos, Cuba) immigrated to the United States and worked in Ybor City in the cigar making industry.
She was born in Tampa and passed away peacefully surrounded by family in St. Cloud, FL.
Her life’s devotion was above all else to her family -- three children Michael (Andrea), Margie (Bill), Mark (Julie), four grandchildren Jenny (husband Ty), Britney (husband Jarrod), Reeves (fiancé Brianne), Tristan, and three great-grandchildren Jada, Carson, Savannah. Her angelic spirit has been embraced at the gates of Heaven by her beloved grandson, Nathan Marcus Adams.
Dolores volunteered three years in the Reserve of the United States Marine Corps. Honorably discharged on July 17, 1958, her service to America is being recognized with military funeral honors.
One of her favorite sayings was “this too shall pass.” In her memory, please hold that close to your heart when facing difficult times.
Over the course of nearly 10 decades, she touched so many. With her determined spirit, she was an overcomer, a mountain mover, fearless, and the strongest person you would ever meet.
Her final resting place will be in a beautiful body of water, as she wished, off Clearwater Beach joining Uncle Ceasar, Aunt DeeDee, and Aunt Alicia.
Well done, thy good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of your master. Matthew 25:23
