Suzanne Dunn died peacefully at her Atlanta home on Friday, February 10, after a courageous battle with cancer. Suzanne was a native of Montgomery, Alabama, and moved to Atlanta after graduating from The University of Alabama in 1971, to begin her career with the Steel Case Corporation. Suzanne had many interests, but her love of travel increased, and she saw the world from France to China, and Viet Nam to Australia, visiting fifty-eight countries. Suzanne supported many organizations in Atlanta including Habitat for Humanity, the Atlanta Ballet, The Atlanta Symphony, the Atlanta Humane Society and Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. Suzanne was predeceased by her parents, Earlene and JT Dunn. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Agnes and Dennis Hammer of Robertsdale, Alabama, and her brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Cindy Dunn of Montgomery Alabama, a host of nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews, and by her beloved cat Tramp. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 909 Lincoln Road, in Montgomery Alabama on Friday, February 24, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Atlanta Humane Shelter, 1551 Perry Blvd, NW, Atlanta Ga. 30318 All donations made online on February 23 will be matched.
