Juanita Bridges Holley

She was a very loving wife, mom, grandma (more like a 2nd mom), mother-in-law and aunt. She always made time to visit with everyone and had a way of making you feel so important and loved. She attended every one of her children and grandchildren’s activities throughout the years. We, her children, called her multiple times a day just to chat, hear her laughter and get her advice, even if we were in the same house with her with one person upstairs and one person downstairs. She had a magnetic personality and had a huge impact on everyone she was around.

She enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports especially baseball, visiting with her son and hearing all his hunting stories and finishing the night out hanging out with her daughter while watching silly reality shows. She also enjoyed visiting with her extended family over the holidays and traveling with her family and friends. In her younger years, Nita ran a daycare in her house and helped raise many children that she loved and kept in touch with throughout the years. Things will not be the same without her. She was our greatest supporter, encourager and our best friend. Many friends and family thought of her as a 2nd mom. She loved them dearly and treated them like her own. There are just not enough words to explain her zest for life and what an amazing person that she was.

Nita passed away peacefully at home on December 9th, 2020. Her son and daughter were both at her bedside. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Holley, parents Arizona and Henry Bridges, brother Paul Bridges, sister Mae Mosteller, brother-in-law Doc Mosteller and several other extended family members.

Nita is lovingly remembered by her children, Rob Holley and Natasha Jones, her grandchildren, Nicholas, Dawson and Kingston Jones, her son-in-law Darryl Jones, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we will not be holding traditional services at this time. We will have a Celebration of Life at a safer time when we can all gather and hug one another while sharing fond memories. We ask that you please share pictures and special memories on her online legacy page as we will be printing books that include all the shared memories.

In lieu of flowers, we ask you to take your parents or loved ones out to dinner or send them flowers and tell them how much you love them. Life is just too short and we need to cherish every moment. Thank you so much for being such an important part of our mom’s life.
