Andrew and Beckett McCullough. Born on April 8, 1941 in Charlotte, NC, Joanne was the daughter of the late Barnard Bee Brewer and Gladys Arlee Hendrick

Brewer. She graduated from North Mecklenburg High School and Western Carolina University with a degree in Education. After graduation she lived in Jacksonville, FL where she taught elementary school and met her husband Ken. They married in 1969 and moved to Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Barnard Bee Brewer, Jr., Margaret Brewer Couvillion, Catherine Harriet Brewer, Sarah Brewer Abernathy, Wade Marion Brewer, Carl Francis Brewer, and Alva Richard Brewer. Joanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend known for her generous and fun loving spirit. She was happiest at the beach surrounded by her large family where she made every occasion a celebration full of music, dancing and laughter. A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 14 at H.M. Patterson & Son - Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A reception will immediately follow the service. Reverend Timothy T. Boggess of Northwest Presbyterian Church will officiate the ceremony.
