Ann Austin Nable, 83, of Sandy Springs died July 11, 2018. Ann was a graduate of Duke University and began her professional life as a school teacher at Columbia High School, teaching French and Spanish. When the first of her two sons was born, she left teaching to become a full-time mother. She later became the office administrator of her husband’s, Dr. R. Daniel Nable, dental practice. Ann was an active member in the Sandy Springs community and a dedicated servant to the Lord. She enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday School at Mount Vernon Baptist Church for 20 years. She was an ardent supporter of the arts, spent her retired years volunteering with the Sandy Springs Society and the Sandy Springs Police Citizen Patrol. Ann also volunteered at St. Joseph’s and Piedmont Hospitals assisting the families of patients with her kind heart and loving smile. Ann passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. Nable was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Dr. R. Daniel Nable and is survived by her sons, Raymond Daniel Nable, Jr. (wife Carol), Richard Austin Nable (wife Teresa); grandchildren, Danielle Elizabeth Nable (fiance’ Brandon), William Christopher Nable, Erin Marie Bright (husband Brandon), Richard Austin Nable, Jr., Rebecca Bishop ( husband Virlyn “Vic”), James Northway (wife Anne); and great grandchildren, Lauryn Nicole Bright, Addilyn Bishop, Briella Bishop, and Benton Bishop. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 6 to 8 o’clock p.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, 173 Allen Rd. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 2 o’clock p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church., 850 Mount Vernon Hwy NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30327. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
