With grieving hearts, we announce the passing of our dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, mentor and friend, William Francis Rogers, at the age of 82, on April 13, 2022. Will was born in Melrose, MA on March 30, 1940. He died peacefully surrounded by his family after a short illness. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Frances (Sierras), daughters, Kelly Gulla (Peter), Susan Madden (Charles), Alison Holt, (Tim), Jennifer Guild (Adam), stepdaughters, Alison Schryver (Darren) and Denise Mendoza, brothers, Paul and Mark Rogers, his adored grandchildren, Elizabeth and Andrew Gulla, William Madden, Audrey and Patrick Holt, Megan and Benjamin Guild, Ashley Mendoza, and Diana Schryver, great-grandchildren Isabella, Charles and Isley Madden, brothers Paul and Mark Rogers, sisters Kathleen MacMaster and Sheila Pepper. Will was pre-deceased by his parents, Frances (Meehan) and Wilfred Rogers, sister Beverly Vivieros and granddaughter Lauren Gulla. Will was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology and he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. He was honored to serve in the United States Navy and he went on to retire from the Navy Reserves as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He had a long and successful career in the electronics industry, working in MA, AZ and NY. He was a proud commander of the Sandwich American Legion Post 188 for eight years. Will had an open heart for everyone he met and always left smiles and laughter in its’ wake. We loved him so much and we will miss him always.
