Mr. Glynn was born on May 19, 1944 to Francis and Helen (Beard) Glynn and was raised in Dorchester and Quincy MA. He was a graduate of Quincy High School and enlisted in the United States Army Reserves. After a full career with Shawmut Bank in Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Glynn continued his financial career with Harbor One Credit Union before going into retirement.
In retirement, Mr. Glynn spent several years as a driver for Habilitation Assistance in Pocasset, MA. Mr. Glynn was active in public service including volunteering many years with the Bourne Scallop festival. He and his wife officially moved to North Carolina in 2019 to enjoy life with his grandchildren. In his free time, Mr. Glynn enjoyed travel, boating and most of all, time with his family.
Mr. Glynn leaves behind and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathaleen (Moran) Glynn and his lifelong brother Fawzi Saba. He is also survived by his three daughters and one son; Christine Morgan and husband Ronald Morgan of Sagamore Beach, MA; Corrine Starke and husband Jeremy Starke of Raleigh, NC; Roberta Falcone and husband Andrew Falcone of Clayton, NC and Adam Glynn and his wife Katie Martin of Falmouth, MA.
Mr. Glynn is also survived by 6 grandchildren. Although Mr. Glynn left us too soon, he led an exemplary life and will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Robert Glynn’s life will be held at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home in Sandwich, MA. on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Corpus Christi Parish, Sandwich MA on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11 am followed by a burial at the Sandwich Town Cemetery.
